David finds himself in a wilderness on the run from king Saul, which is always a place of temptation. David remarkably resists an alluring temptation to take matters into his own hands with an enemy. David’s remarkable actions show us the pathway of resisting our own temptations by entrusting himself to the eternal King who is the righteous and wise judge.
