a note about giving
Christ Presbyterian Church exists to proclaim a HOPE that creates a HOME that launches a HEALING. The HOPE we have came to us in the Gospel, the story of God’s lavished riches spent in his Son Jesus’ death on the Cross. We believe that lavish gift is so powerful that it neutralizes any other loyalties that might compete for our heart’s highest treasure.
Our giving is done in that spirit. We give not out of compulsion or guilt or obligation, but out of the sheer joy that the God of the Universe has spared no expense in loving us in his Son. Nowhere is this summed up better than in 2 Corinthians 8:9, "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich."
These are exciting days at Christ Presbyterian Church. We invite you to join us in this mission to preach the Hope of the Gospel, gather as the Home of God’s people, and labor to extend Healing to a broken world. - Les Newsom, Lead Pastor CPC
