Something has happened to David. The hard lessons of inviting Yahweh’s presence to dwell among them have dug a deep well of transforming joy in his heart, so much so that he’s able to dance with the lowest rung of society and stave off his wife’s condescending mockery.

David is despondent in the wake of the events surrounding his desire to bring the Ark back to the Tabernacle. But he hears that God’s intention is to bless his people again, so he searches for a better way to enter the Presence, and forms a bloody trail up into the Tabernacle.

The celebration surrounding the return of the ark to the tabernacle comes to an abrupt and violent halt when two young priests are killed along the way. Turns out that the Presence of God is a dangerous thing that must be carefully considered before casually entering in.

As Solomon stands in front of the greatest Jewish temple in antiquity, something dramatic happens. The Presence of God shows up. But the lessons from living in the Presence of Yahweh had been learned long before when David brings the Ark of the Covenant up into the Tabernacle, showing that THIS is the need behind every other need.
