Turning the Gem: The Order of Salvation
There is a difference in picturing your Christian life as an attempt to hang onto a life preserver for dear life versus learning that he dove into the water and carried our lifeless bodies to safety. This salvation is the most valuable thing possible to the Christian, a gem of wonder. Each week we are going to spin this diamond and it’s going to cut up the light on different ways. Each week, we will give it a new turn.

Meets each week at 9:45am in the sanctuary.

When Goodness & Lovingkindness Appeared | Brian Sorgenfrei

Scripture Reference: Titus 3:3-8
Paul ends his letter to his co-worker Titus by appealing to the appearing of “our Savior.” In a world that is full of quarreling, envy and hatred, the goodness of God appeared as a baby in order to bring about salvation and transform His people into those that do good works.

Jesus Is Enough: Stand Firm | Brian Sorgenfrei

Scripture Reference: Ephesians 6:10-24
Paul ends his letter by reminding his audience that they are in a fight. But it’s a fight not against not flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil. Paul has already reminded the Ephesians that Christ is seated in the heavenly places above all rule and authority and power and dominion (1:20-21), and now Paul shows us how the work of Christ enables the church to stand against the devil who always wants darkness, death, and division.
