Carelessness & Compromise | Anna Dabbs

Judges: The Path from Chaos to Kingship
Join us each Wednesday as we examine the biblical account of the twelve judges in this in-depth study. Reflect on God’s persistent grace as you see him carry the Israelites through Canaan and prepare them for his great purpose.

In the book of Judges, the people of God were mired in sin–from murder and violence to lust and adultery. The dramatic journey to the promised land may feel like a blockbuster movie, but it’s a tragic story that illuminates the sinful nature of humanity. The Israelites’ waywardness threatened to lead them away from their blessing, but despite their disobedience, God’s undeserved grace endured.

Women’s Bible Study meets on Wednesday mornings with coffee at 9:15am and the study at 9:30am and Wednesday evenings at 5:30pm. There is a large group lecture and small group discussion. Nursery is provided for the morning study and nursery through youth group is provided for the evening study.

Unlocking The Mystery: What Is Most Needed? | Brian Sorgenfrei

Scripture Reference: Ephesians 1:15-23
As the apostle Paul writes his letter to the Ephesian church, he is overwhelmed with gratitude and tells them how he is praying for them. In Paul’s prayer we see the unlocking of a mystery. What is most needed in all of our lives is NOT necessarily a chance in circumstances. No, what is most needed is to have the eyes of our heart enlightened so that we live according to what is unseen but real.

Two Types of Wisdom & People | Foster Gullett

Adult Sunday School: 1 Corinthians: Life in Babylon–Again!
The city of Corinth was at the crossroads of the Roman Empire. Just as ideas, culture, and wealth flowed through this cosmopolitan and avant-garde city, so too did sex and debauchery. Paul’s fledgling church was floundering amid the influence of the world around them. Paul wrote about how they, and we today, as God’s people are to navigate the maze of questions that arise while living in the midst a secularizing culture.
Meets every Sunday at 9:45am in the sanctuary. Taught by Foster Gullett.

Love That Will Not Let Me Go | Les Newsom

Scripture Reference: Ephesians 1:4,5,11
Watch lovers speak to each other and invariably the talk turns to other-worldly themes. We instinctively know that we were made to be loved outside of time. Paul is excited to say that a huge blessing of being “in Christ” is the knowledge that it was true before we were ever born.

Sermon Points:

  • The Objections
