Wisdom Literature: Wisdom That Begins With God | Les Newsom

Adult Sunday School

Wisdom Literature Series: This 14-week journey through Job, Psalms, and Proverbs explores how God forms His people to live wisely in a broken world—through suffering, worship, and everyday life. We’ll look at how each book ultimately points to Christ as the true Wisdom of God, the righteous sufferer, and the reigning King. Together, we’ll learn not only how to think biblically, but how to pray, endure, and live faithfully in light of the gospel.

Meets every Sunday at 9:45am in the sanctuary.

Christ the Servant | Les Newsom

Christ the King | Les Newsom

  • The Good News of the Child

Turning the Gem: The Order of Salvation
There is a difference in picturing your Christian life as an attempt to hang onto a life preserver for dear life versus learning that he dove into the water and carried our lifeless bodies to safety. This salvation is the most valuable thing possible to the Christian, a gem of wonder. Each week we are going to spin this diamond and it’s going to cut up the light on different ways. Each week, we will give it a new turn.

Meets each week at 9:45am in the sanctuary.

Christ the Glory | Les Newsom

Scripture Reference: Ezekiel 10:1-4, 43:1-5
Visions of glory are a powerful human motivator. In Ezekiel’s prophecy, God’s glory leaves because of sin, yet returns in promise. In Christ, God’s glory takes up residence not in a temple of stone but in His incarnate body—and through Him, in us.

Sermon Points:

  • Glory Examined
  • Glory Lost
  • Glory Regained
