Our Pulpit Nominating Committee announced the committee’s decision to nominate Reverend Les Newsom to serve as the next Lead Pastor for Christ Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. CPC’s Session unanimously concurred in the Committee’s nomination. Below are letters to the congregation released by each group regarding the announcement.
Announcement from the Pulpit Nominating Committee
Please save the dates for these upcoming Sundays:
- February 11th: Congregational Meeting immediately following the morning worship service. The congregation will hear from the Pulpit Committee about how they came to their nomination.
- February 18th: Les will preach as our “candidate” and there will be a reception following.
- February 25th: Congregational Meeting immediately following the morning worship service. The congregation will vote on the nomination of Les to be our next Lead Pastor.
